Should we stay, or should we go? That’s the question this Minnesota family had to ask when they realized their home no longer served their needs. Staying in the popular Mahtomedi school district was important to them, but they knew a new construction home with all the features they wanted would require a significant investment. So, the homeowners reached out to the Custom One Renovation team to help them transform their existing home.
The family had two major goals for this project: to add the space they needed and to make the home more functional. The multi-room renovation included adding more livable space to the main level with a spacious three-season porch featuring a fireplace flanked by floor-to-ceiling windows. We also installed new countertops, a living room dry bar, and beautiful wood floors throughout the main level. The newly finished lower level adds additional living space with a bedroom, full bathroom, entertainment area, workout room, and ample storage. With an extra 1,256 square feet of livable space, this lovely family has plenty of room to grow and enjoy their home for years to come!
